Description
This Library Stand is a show-stopper at exhibitions.
This elegant Library Stand lends distinction to your study or office. I built the stand pictured here in 2003 for my Uncle Bill, who had just retired as a history professor at the University of Ohio. The results not only pleased my uncle, but by adding it to my line, it has now become one of my most frequently commissioned pieces.
Its Shaker style tappered legs support the reference pallet, drawer, and bottom shelf. The desktop is approximately 24" wide and 18" deep. Height is approximately 38" at the front, and 43" at the rear. The height can also be specified by you as desired. The accessory drawer glides on an exposed rail which lends a contemporary feel to the stand. The shelf riding above the floor features a cutaway surface influenced by "Arts & Crafts" detailing. All woods have interesting figured grains and are finished with handrubbed oil.
