The Stonington Guitar Cabinet
The Stonington Guitar Cabinet was our first new product introduced in 2011, and it is now our most popular cabinet in all categories. It holds 6-8 guitars within an easy-access interior. The cabinet is approximately 48" wide, 22" deep, and 52" high. The Stonington is glazed on 3 surfaces for increased viewing. The graceful arched window frames are elegant, and soften the geometry of this large piece of furniture.
For a very limited time, FREE SHIPPING is included in the price. (Within the contiguous United States only.)
The Stonington is a meticulously thought out fine furnishing designed to exhibit a collection of guitars by capturing their maximum visual potential. At Katahdin, we know how to angle a guitar within a cabinet to bring out the best in the art of the guitars. We know how to cradle your guitars within the cabinet’s space to maximize the protection of your prized pieces. All contact points are padded and felted so that there is no “wood to wood” contact between your guitars and the cabinet. The doors are sized properly to frame the features of the guitars to their best advantage.
I challenge anyone to find a better looking guitar cabinet anywhere. Our cabinet makers are artisan grade. Each craftsman makes his cabinet one-at-a-time. From selecting and milling the wood, to cutting and shaping each component, to assembling the case, to fitting the doors, and to applying the hand-rubbed oil finish… every Katahdin guitar cabinet evolves as a singular piece of art, and is signed by the artist who created it.
The cabinet photographed here has 3 optional features available at extra cost... the low heat LED lighting, a mirrored back-wall, and a lock to secure the doors. A "guitar roof rack" is also available as an optional item… which cost effectively doubles the cabinet’s capacity
When visitors come to your home, they will without a doubt inquire about your Katahdin cabinet. The quality is obvious… even to those with the most casual interest in guitars. Nothing in the musical space of your home will upstage your Katahdin guitar cabinet, except perhaps for your prized instruments, and the talent that plays them. Our cabinets are indeed “Bentley’s” for the music room.
As you know, guitars are in every way works of art. The Stonington protects them as such, but allows convenient accessibility… promoting frequent enjoyment of the instruments, and full-time visibility. Would you hide paintings in a closet that have taken you a life time to acquire?
The cabinet pictured here has a cherry case with birdseye maple door frames… also available in all Katahdin wood choices and combinations. Hand-rubbed oil finish. Crafted by us in Maine.
